GPT-5: Not the AGI Messiah, but still pretty impressive
... Want to read more write-ups like this? Subscribe to the Product Hunt weekly newsletter for a new one every Sunday OpenAI just dropped GPT-5 , and the hype train roared straight into AGI territory. In a live-streamed event that felt ripped from an Apple keynote, Sam Altman strode onstage, threw real-time coding challenges and puzzles at GPT-5 under spotlights, and even took audience Q&A. This feels like talking to a PhD-level expert ... ... typing think hard or toggling it in Plus, Pro, or Team. This engages the deeper-reasoning model for multi-step logic and complex problem solving. Same pricing as GPT-5. GPT-Thinking Pro Available to Pro and Team subscribers

A Substack for Product People?
... analyzes products and generates guides that influence buying decisions. Creators generate revenue when an audience gains insight and makes purchases. Not here to promote the product but I just wanted to introduce myself and gauge the temperature for a Substack for Products. We initially launched as a content play for bloggers trying to stay relevant in the age of AI with high value content and easy monetization, but with Google killing SEO, unless you have an existing blog and audience ... ... would have a mountain to climb to realize value from Roundups. So, our thinking is that if creators are embracing platforms like Substack

Raspberry Pi or other kit for beginner coder, OR subscription to Lovable or Bolt?
... When my kids were really young, I had subscriptions to things for them like Kodable and @Tynker My oldest daughter had fun trying out the free Codemonster page, and then moved on to building her own games. I think she did stuff in Swift playground etc. then I recently shared @Lovable and @bolt.new with her so she's excited about that, but she's also asked for a @Raspberry Pi 5 kit. For those more tecchy folks in this community ... ... Raspberry Pi kit a good investment? (she's about to turn 11). Or should I get her a paid subscription

How many and what type of subscriptions do you have?
... will be the return on it (i.e. whether I will earn something by buying/investing in a product), whether it will be profitable for me in the long term, whether it will save me time. I don't have many subscriptions, to be honest, only: Twitter Premium annual (~ 80) CapCut Pro annual (~ 120) (and that's all) ... the other subscriptions

Will Perplexity "overshadow" OpenAI?
... TechCrunch today that Perplexity is trying to dominate the Indian market, which could potentially increase the number of users (and thus compete with OpenAI). Perplexity is trying to attract more users by offering a free 12-month Perplexity Pro subscription normally worth $200 to all 360 million Airtel subscribers

Subscription Tracker for Companies
... architect for nearly 10 years. Over the past year, I ve been building side projects and startups in my spare time. While working on these projects, I noticed something common among many of us, we all have tens of subscriptions for different tools, whether it's for marketing, analytics, or design. One night, after paying for 2 3 random subscriptions

How much money do you spend on SaaS subscriptions?
... everyone, I've been working as a software engineer at different companies over the years, and there's one thing they all seem to have in common: They use dozens of SaaS subscriptions across different departments, and they often lose track of them. Most teams don't really know how much they're paying or how effectively those tools are being used. In some cases, I've even seen companies paying for duplicate subscriptions

Hello hunters
... this time I'm here to build my own project. Last 2 products I've build I registered more than 10 SaaS or Web Applications to build my products. After a while I lost my control about these subscriptions, couldn't estimate the total cost and sometimes I missed trial periods and paid subscription

Fieldy Hands On Review: Can this AI Wearable help my ADHD brain remember tasks and save my marriage?
... ADHD folks to help them remember, I knew I had to try it out. Note: I did Hunt Fieldy but I paid for the product myself. I was not sponsored for this review. I was gifted a yearly subscription however, to help experience the product from the Fieldy team. Thoughts are my own. Introduction: A New Voice Recorder Wearable Enters The Arena AI Hardware has evolved a lot in the last year, with wearables being the form factor that ... ... first impression of the actual device was that the plastic finish felt a little underwhelming, especially if you re used to the polish of Apple or Nothing devices. What convinces you to pay a subscription for content from creators (e.g. from bloggers)?
... been active on Substack for almost a year, and I'm thinking about charging for some of the content (currently, I only have archived articles behind the payment gateway). The reality is that with AI, anyone can find information, so I'm wondering what the decisive benefit would be that would convince people to pay for a subscription

I built a calmer, offline way to share (and consume) content – no screens, just stamps 💌
... Here's the idea: Instead of constantly posting online, chasing the algorithm, or burning out on social media, creators can write one letter a month just a PDF and we handle the printing, stamping, and mailing to all their subscribers. It's a slower, calmer, more human way to share your thoughts or art. Like a Substack

How do you track all the digital tools, domains & subscriptions you’ve bought over the years?
... Over the past few years, I ve ended up with a scattered stack of tools domains, SaaS subscriptions, plugins, licenses, hosting, etc. Some are in Google Keep, some in emails, and others I forgot I even signed up for. I m curious how do you track everything you ve purchased for your projects or startup? Do you use a password manager? Manual spreadsheet? Some kind of custom-built dashboard? I m exploring ways to improve this process and would love ... ... busmark_w_nika  Not yet, but I m planning to! I ve been talking to others who face the same problem and sketching out what a lightweight dashboard could look like, just enough to track tools, domains, and subscriptions

Skype closed down - here are top 6 Skype alternatives for international calls
... life disappeared. It felt the same way as if, one day, nobody would be playing on Call of Duty 2 servers anymore (that hasn t happened yet, right?). Anyway, here I ve compiled a list of the top 6 alternatives to Skype for international calling. I used the following criteria to select them: VoIP-based . That means I only need an internet connection to use the service. Calls from most SIMs abroad are prohibitively expensive, and eSIMs typically include only ... ... solve this problem just as well. Pay-as-you-go pricing . With Skype, I could load $5 and use it whenever I needed. If you only need international calls occasionally, you don t want to be forced into a subscription

What are the best monetisation models you have seen so far?

On the contrary, the monetisation model that I hate Adobe: they also charged me if I wanted to cancel my subscription. -------- Can you share with us which monetisation model you found brilliant? Comment from Nika(@busmark_w_nika): @hussein_r  I totally forgot. Is Figma been acquired by Adobe? Because they had some agreement, and it would be a nightmare ... ... Figma were to monetise the product this way. BTW, I think that Adobe products are not so good. :D I found better alternatives
