As an educator, I have been following the ChatGPT discourse with interest. I recently googled "ChatGPT Detector" and decided to test the first 4 hits. ZeroGPT was first, and was by far the most inaccurate. I tested it with several papers on different subjects I had myself written many years ago. The False Positive rate was truly shocking, especially for paragraphs that were more "fact-based," as opposed to paragraphs that contained quotes, citations, etc. Several paragraphs that I am certain were 100% original work came back as 90-100% AI. The other 3 sites I tried were a mixed bag, but more accurate than ZeroGPT.
