I've been following Hakimel for ... well over a decade. Still remember the incredible experiments with CSS, slides and tons of other projects which were always well crafted, incredible well designed and had great UX!
So when I saw the tweet announcing MotionScribe, it was a no brainer buy.
Since then, I've been a beta user, and have generated a whole host of beautiful, engaging, informative videos, intros, outros and just fun "gifs" I sent to friends.
Every time I open the app there's an update with more transitions, Hakim is very responsive to feedback, both bugs and feature request, and this is one of the nicest UI text/video creation tools out there.
I've been a fan of your work since the time of reveal.js and Slides (also being a fellow Swedish maker 🙂), so I got quite excited when this popped up today. Had a look and instant-bought a license! Finally I can actually do snappy promo videos with ease! (so far... I just didn't bother because everything I attempted in iMovie looked like a photo slideshow for my parents...🤷♂️)
Looking forward to see how the product evolves - it already provides great value. Adding support for video clips in addition to images, and the possibility to have an image stay over several slides (imagine product screenshot with several features being promoted).
Just got MotionScribe and I absolutely love it. I tried recreating one of the product videos I made for our product recently. And what took like 2+ hours to do on camtesia was done in 15 mins with Motionscribe. It is so easy to use and yet the videos look so slick. Here are some feature requests I had in mind that would make Motionscribe even more awesome:
1) Support for video
2) Gradient support for backgrounds with some readymade gradients
3) ability to edit color for individual text
4) more animations
I would love to see these in future updates. But it's already amazing as it is. A nobrainer at this price.

Video support, gradients and more animations are all on the roadmap and will be added within the next few weeks.
You can already edit the color of individual backgrounds or text. Select the slide you want to edit, then press the color drop in the bottom left tab bar and look for "Text color".
