As a Growth Designer and someone who loves SEO & Acquisition, I spend a lot of time in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
But, I get tired of looking up the same pieces of information, over and over again.
Or worse, spending precious hours trying to teach stakeholders how to use GA instead.
Which never goes as planned. Because who actually has time for that?
Aren't there better solutions out there? Sure, but I didn't need another monthly subscription for more tools that I'd only use a few times.
Thankfully, I found Google Data Studio.
It's free. Yeah, for real.
It seamlessly integrates with Google's other tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google AdWords.
Oh, and there's also zero-coding involved.
As a Maker, Marketer & Growth Designer — I figured I'd combine my love for data, design, and efficiency to create these at-a-glance dashboards.
These templates have been super useful for my team, so I thought I'd share them with everyone else too.
If you have feedback, comments, or questions, I'd love to hear them!
Love that these charts reframe metrics to answer real stakeholder questions about *user behavior*, for example saying "How long are users browsing?" instead of "Avg session duration".
As always, great work Ed!
This product might as well be called Tylenol for those who use Google Analytics. Frankly, using GA makes my head hurt. I am infrequent user so I am always searching my way in there. And no, the answer is not to create a Looker dashboard. Most "normal" users need a simplified version of ANY analytics tool (not just GA). I hope you can simplify life for all us using Looker, GA and other even more complex dashboard-y tools.
@saurabh_gupta6 Thanks Saurabh, coming from an xoogler, that means a lot! It took me quite a while before I got comfortable with Google Analytics myself, but learned that most people just want a high-level and simple overview — so we can't really set the expectations that everyone will be familiar with navigating GA.
