A marketplace for vibe-coded projects?

I’ve built two marketplaces before:

  • One for chatbot templates in 2018 that was used by 700+ marketing agencies.

  • Another in 2020 for job seekers in the U.S., which reached 5.5M users.

So let’s suppose I have some experience. You can read about me on Bootstrappers, TechCrunch, Dev to.

Now I’m considering building a marketplace where creators can list their vibe-coded projects along with the code, a live demo link, etc. The idea is to target:

  1. Other creators who don’t want to start from scratch and would prefer a polished template.

  2. Businesses that don’t want to hire developers or build from scratch, but instead grab a ready project and adapt it to their needs.

  3. Developers/agencies who want access to a catalog of vibe-coded projects with distribution licenses so they can resell or customize them for clients. (This was actually the best performing business model when we sold chatbot templates to hundreds of agencies in 2017–2019.)

Does this make sense? Would anyone here be willing to list their projects and make $$ from it? Or anyone interested in having access to such projects for a fee?

Upvotes or downvotes (with comments) are welcome. They’ll help me figure out if this idea is worth pursuing.

This could attract freelancers like me who constantly rebuild similar projects. A ready-made vibe-coded catalog would help speed up client work. I'd consider listing some of mine and definitely browsing if curated well.

I like this direction. Templates for chatbot agencies worked great, so repeating that with vibe-coded projects seems logical. Execution and licensing terms will decide adoption but I'd be open to exploring both sides.

I'd list a couple of my projects if the marketplace makes revenue share fair and simple.

If you nail discoverability and showcase live demos well, this could build serious traction.

Could be cool way to discover stuff that matches your mood.

I think this idea makes real sense. Many creators struggle to start from scratch, so vibe-coded projects could save time. I'd interested in both listing and browsing, depending on execution and pricing.

Pricing will matter a lot. Needs to feel cheaper than hiring a dev but valuable enough for creators.

I'd personally browse such a marketplace just for inspiration and then maybe grab a starter template.

Sound like a playful twist on the usual project marketplaces. @oleksandr_gamaniuk

Businesses not wanting to start from scratch is awesome but I would then focus on great experience - using existing open source business apps and create a prompt based playbook on them. It makes adding features if the prompts have good guardrails. In the end, people want something solved for their workflow and unless that happens, everything is a template and business is stuck.

Businesses not wanting to start from scratch is a huge audience. The challenge is curating quality so it doesn't get cluttered.
