Tot 2.0 introduces improved features such as customizable smart bullets, text dividers, automatic indents, seamless iCloud sync, Markdown support, adaptive icons, and iOS automatic backups. Available for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
I've tried picking up Tot a few times in the past, and each time I stop using it after a week. I don't understand how it's useful. If you're using Tot, how are you using it?
If I want to capture notes that don't need to last forever, I use Scrap Paper or Raycast Notes. If something does need to last for a long time, I capture it in Notion or as a task in OmniFocus. Tot seems to occupy this middle ground where the information it captures is not meant to be permanent nor temporary held.
I love the idea. Have you considered adding collaborative editing or shared lists so Tot could be used for lightweight teamwork, or do you intend to keep it strictly as a personal notes tool?
I’ve been a user of this product for a while now, but I feel incredibly stupid insofar as I can’t seem to figure out how to invoke some of these functions that are discussed. What am I missing exactly? How do I use the different kind of line breaks? How do I use an emoji as a checkbox? Is it all in markdown and that’s why I don’t see the functions?

Do you have plans to add collaboration features in the future?
Huge Tot fan. Use it on Mac. Should I be uninstalling my existing Tot app or can I keep that?
EDIT: nevermind, I see it's just an update via the App Store!

Recently, I have been looking for a replacement for the text editors that come with my phone and PC systems, and it seems like Tot
