@caleb_foster1 Hi! Yes, you can log (or snap a photo / record by voice) as many meals as you like in one go. As you log your food, you’ll see how many grams of sugar you’ve consumed — visualized with an animation of sugar filling up a jug. At the end of the day, you’ll get a report and suggestions to adjust your diet by setting a sugar intake goal. Thanks so much for your interest in our app! You can also join our waitlist — when the app launches, we’ll send you a promo code to get started for free (without subscription)!
@charlotte_richardson1 Thanks for the question! Yes, complex meals can be a real challenge. In our app, you can simply snap a photo of your plate and the AI will try to recognize the main ingredients and roughly estimate the sugar content based on a typical recipe and portion size.
If you want a more accurate result, you can also say or type what’s in the dish — for example, “homemade casserole with chicken and veggies” — and the calculation will be more precise.
We’re constantly improving this feature and would really appreciate any examples or suggestions on which home-cooked meals matter most to you!
I love how simple it is to just snap a pic or speak so intuitive. Are there any plans to integrate with Apple Health or other fitness platforms for a more comprehensive view?
@lucas_edwards2 Thanks! Yes, we do plan to integrate with Apple Health and other fitness platforms so you can get a full picture — sugar, calories, activity, and progress all in one place
@nathaniel_cook2 Thanks! Photo recognition can be tricky for mixed or culturally diverse dishes. We’re training our AI on many cuisines and always welcome real meal examples to improve accuracy.
@olivia_johnston1 Thanks for the idea! Right now, an internet connection is needed for recognition, but we’re already exploring how to add offline mode for travel and low-signal areas
It is amazing. Will Sugarless eventually include tracking for other nutrients like carbs or fiber or is it going to stay focused solely on sugar in the long run?
@matthew_phillips4 Good question. If a voice input is vague like “dessert” or “snack,” the AI uses average estimates for that type of food. We always recommend adding a bit more detail for better accuracy!
It's great for counting sugar, and I especially like the functionality of counting by photo, so I don't have to bother with manual input. Thank you, guys!)
@ignatanokhin Thanks for asking! You can log as many meals as you want during the day, and Sugarless will calculate your total daily sugar intake. At the end of the day, you get a report and suggestions.
Hmm, that looks interesting. I’ve never really thought about how much sugar I eat. Recently, I’ve come across a few videos talking about how too much sugar is bad for you, and also about keto diets.
I was just looking for some apps to help me lead a healthier lifestyle! This is such a useful application. Now I can use it to monitor my sugar intake and stay on track 🔥
Really love the idea of combining photo and text input — it makes tracking so much easier! Would love to see some weekly stats or trend charts in the future!
As someone who tries to be mindful about nutrition but hates manually tracking every ingredient, I find SugarLess a really exciting concept. Hidden sugars are one of those things you don’t realize you're over-consuming until it’s too late — especially with modern processed foods, sauces, snacks, and even seemingly "healthy" options like granola or yogurt.
What I really appreciate is the idea of using AI to analyze meals from a photo or voice description. It feels much more natural and less tedious than traditional calorie counters or sugar calculators. I could see myself using this daily, especially when dining out or eating home-cooked meals where labels aren’t available.

This is useful for anyone looking to cut out hidden sugars. How do you tackle complex meals like those home cooked dishes with a mix of ingredients?

I consider that its a good way to be aware of food. There is so much sugar even in bread! TY for the announcement.

I love the concept. Is there an offline mode available for when I’m traveling or in areas with low signal?
@olivia_johnston1 Thanks for the idea! Right now, an internet connection is needed for recognition, but we’re already exploring how to add offline mode for travel and low-signal areas
It is amazing. Will Sugarless eventually include tracking for other nutrients like carbs or fiber or is it going to stay focused solely on sugar in the long run?
@benjamin_anderson3 Great question! We’re focusing on sugar first, but in the future we plan to expand to carbs, fiber, and other key nutrients too
It’s so cool that it can listen to meal descriptions. Can it also track other nutritional info like fiber or protein?
@samuel_morris Thank you! Yes, we do plan to add tracking for fiber, protein, and more to give you a full nutrition overview.
How do you ensure the nutritional data from voice inputs is accurate especially when someone uses vague terms like dessert or snack?
@matthew_phillips4 Good question. If a voice input is vague like “dessert” or “snack,” the AI uses average estimates for that type of food. We always recommend adding a bit more detail for better accuracy!
