What parents taught us about making better screen time for kids

Hi everyone!

Over the years of building kids’ apps, we’ve spent a lot of time talking to parents — in feedback emails, support threads, beta tests, even DMs.

One thing we kept hearing:

“I don’t mind that my kid’s playing — I just wish it felt more meaningful.”

It wasn’t about screen time itself. It was about the quality of that time.

So when we started working on Food Festival 3, we set ourselves a challenge:

🧩 Could we design a mobile game that feels like play, but leads to something more?

🍳 A cooking game where kids actually learn the steps — and maybe try them in real life

📺 A game that looks and moves like a cartoon — so even watching a sibling play is fun

🧘 No timers. No FOMO. No ads. Just calm interaction and cozy visuals.

We're still learning, still tweaking, and still collecting feedback — but we're hopeful.

We want this game to be something that feels co-playable. Something a parent can enjoy with their child, not just supervise.

Here’s a peek: Food Festival 3

Would love to hear from anyone thinking about family-focused products or mindful media for kids. Always open to ideas and critique 🙏

Thanks for reading,
