I'm launching today and expecting a flop

Vewrite launches today.

I know that there are a lot of things that you're supposed to do to game Producthunt so that you get into the top five. I know that you're supposed to use that position to drive traffic, which in turn drives sales and revenue. I know that people think that it doesn't matter what you do to succeed, as long as you do.

I guess that I just don't want to play that game. I want what I build to win on its own merits. Because it is a better product and a better solution. I'm hoping that all of my blood, sweat, and tears were worth it.

So, here's to all you builders out there, building for the love of it. Cheers.

Hey, it’s a cool concept. This is unsolicited, I know, but I would suggest considering a repositioning of the product. As a content creator myself, I could see this being marketed as a “Content Creation and Content Management” tool, rather than “Project management and content creation” which likely puts it in a different competitive category. It’s semantics but could make a difference with your target audience. Also, as a user of multiple Project Management solutions, I could see this working great as a plugin for platforms like Monday.com and Asana, again marketed as a “Tool for content creation and management”. Just some thoughts. Best to you!

@ed_navarro this is really valuable feedback. I've been deeply unsure about how to position Vewrite and you may be absolutely right.
