I built a simple AI tool to help me plan and validate startup ideas
Hey everyone,
I'm someone who constantly comes up with random startup ideas — during commutes, while working, even right before bed. The problem is, most of those ideas either get lost or just sit in a document with no structure or real follow-through. I found myself wishing there was a way to quickly turn those scattered thoughts into something more actionable, without going down a rabbit hole of research every time.
So I built a really simple AI tool to help with that. You just describe your idea as casually or vaguely as you want, and the AI helps turn it into a basic plan. It outlines things like what problem the idea solves, who it might be for, how it could make money, and what challenges it might face. It’s not super detailed or perfect, but for me it’s been useful in getting unstuck or realizing when an idea just doesn’t hold up.
It’s free to use and has just a few focused features. No logins or anything — I originally built it for myself and figured it might be useful for others too.
If you ever get overwhelmed by too many ideas or struggle with taking the first steps, this might help. Happy to hear what you think Idea Planner .
