WARNING Guys, do not use this app! They just spammed all of my contacts with SMS without any consent. So sad that companies are still using these spammy tactics.

@kevinleehenry I had the same experience. I think that the app has a potential to replace FB Events, but they way they are using some of the spam tactics to drive the growth is questionable.

@kevinleehenry @marksnyd @tomashertus I did not have the same experience and allowed it to grab my contacts from email and phone. How did you find out they were sent that message? I reached out to friends and no-one received an email/text from this app 🤔

This is definitely fake news. The only way sms is sent to non-users in the app is via a text from your phone using iMessage @kevinleehenry @marksnyd @tomashertus

This is avery unique take on the calendar. Other calendars historically focus on workplace use cases and the enterprise. None of them are social and few merge event discovery into the experience. Downloading now.

I really want to like this product. I've wanted to build something very similar for ages and have been hoping someone would tackle it. But when I tried it, I encountered a *ton* of bugs. 1) Sign up half-failed for me, and left me uncertain about what I need to do. So I had to quit the app and try again. 2) Loaders are constantly spinning everywhere without stopping. 3) Every time I open the app I have to login in again with google. 4) Some taps just aren't responded to. I'd love to give this a proper try, but they need to get the code product and code quality way, way up.

Hey Eric, Because so many people have been adding their calendar we hit some scalding issues. We are working on resolving them now and will send you a notif in the app when the calendar sync is back up and running! @theericanderson

I read the article on TechCrunch "Calendar influencers? Event social network IRL raises $8M. Instagram for RSVPs". It will be interesting to see how an already established "Influencer" can create a larger momentum for this. Or how an aspiring "Activity Influencer" can start off by convincing friends to sign up, and then becoming more visible for other users.

One way I think we can start being helpful day 1 for any type of influencer is by providing a web profile that is an events calendar that influencers can promote as “Follow my events”. Here is an example of what we made for TC - https://www.irl.com/techcrunch @jl_fausto

This app is not good yet, and doesn't do much, early beta at best. If I find out it spammed my contacts I'm going to rip someones legs off and beat them with them.

I loved it so far! I got a tone of my friends on it and the next dinner for all is already planned. The only negative thing to say is that the first day of using it, the app crashed a lot. However the next day, it was back to normal already. Great Product @abeshafi

Very cool, but it’s crashing like crazy on my iPhone. Latest iOS 12 update.

Doesn't really work on the iPhone 8 Plus with latest OS after several attempts. Doesn't even show my calebdars. Crashes either after a few seconds or a couple of touches. Deleted the account and removed the app.
