French community builder exploring the SaaS world

Hi everyone!

I’m Joia, a French entrepreneur and founder of CONEST, an agency specialized in community building and community-driven marketing.

I’ve been managing communities for over 7 years — first out of passion, then professionally. I’ve supported more than 100 projects, from a few members to over 70,000.

When I got into digital marketing, I realized that my skills met a real need, especially among infopreneurs. More importantly, I discovered that a well-built community is a powerful marketing strategy that brings a lot of value.

That’s what led me to create the Community Success Model — a structured ecosystem based on three pillars: management, engagement, and monetization — which I implement for my clients to support their community strategy.

Today, I’m exploring the SaaS world, convinced that it can also benefit greatly from a strong community approach — when there’s real community potential.

I’m here to connect with SaaS founders, have meaningful conversations, and explore how I could support them with a tailored offer.

Looking forward to it!

Hey Joia, from what you have written, I understood that the community was solely French (in the French language). Don't you think that you could have a bigger impact in English?

Also: How did you handle that part with monetisation?

Joïa D.
@busmark_w_nika Hey Nika, Thanks for your message! Yes, I started with French-speaking communities simply because I’m French, and the language barrier made it hard to go international at first. But of course, the English-speaking market is much more interesting! I saw that you’re also into community building, love seeing others in the same field! I’d be happy to connect and chat about what you’re working on. As for monetization, I usually build upsells based on what my client already has: courses, coaching, ebooks, etc., or sometimes we create something entirely new. Then I use tools like Woop to structure it all. What do you use to host your communities? PS: Sorry for the delayed reply, my account wasn’t a personal one at first, so I couldn’t respond. I had to get that fixed!

@joiadpt Your story interested me because I have the same background. I started with the Slovak and the Czech community and evolved into English-speaking. That has brought me more interesting people into life and also many paid opportunities. If I started sooner, I could build empire :D

I am more into social media and paid from sponsorships in my weekly newsletter or videos. :)

My fave channels for chatting with guys are Product Hunt, Bluesky, X and LinkedIn! :)

How do you approach these things? Platforms for community building and monetising?

Joïa D.

@busmark_w_nika Hey Nika,

Absolutely! The English-speaking market definitely offers more opportunities, and that’s where I’m aiming as well. For now, I’m focused on the French market, but I plan to expand as soon as possible.

For channels, I mostly prospect on Instagram, where my niche is. A bit on LinkedIn too, but much less. As for community growth, it’s usually my clients who handle it by creating content on their social platforms. I focus on structuring, managing, and monetizing their communities.

I mainly build communities on Discord, which I think is the most powerful and complete tool. And for monetization, as I mentioned, I use Whop!

Do you use Discord or another community app?

@joiadpt I keep my fingers crossed for you while expanding! :)
Regarding Whop – thank you for the suggestion. Is there also a possibility to monetise writings/articles via that?

I use predominantly Product Hunt, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

For longer format – Substack and YouTube.

Discord only for external communities :)
