Flexible working is I think getting the job done under the decided the timeline but when and how someone is working on it can be totally flexible like time, location or whatever.

Flexible working means you can decide, when and how you work, rather than being subject to an employer’s strict requirement of a fixed office space, regular hours, and face-to-face contact.

Flexible working has become a popular topic since the recession and the trend towards employees (including those with children) working from home is on the rise. But what does flexible working mean for the individual?

For me, a lot of it is about trust. Trust I'll be just as productive as home as I am in the office, trust that if I need to leave early or come in late, that I'll still get done what is needed or agreed to, etc. Thankfully I work at a company that does give that trust and its amazing the output you see from the team as a result.

@stevenbirchall Interesting insight, Steven. I wonder, how does your company facilitate the productivity of its employees? Does this mean you're 100% output based? I work in an architectural firm that is strictly time-in, time-out.
