I’m also curious about how to reduce the guilt of disconnecting from work. Currently, I’m still feel a little guilty, so I often respond to work messages even when I’m on vacation.😂
I think it really depends on the company culture. If replying to work messages or even working after work hours is a norm in the company, then it will be harder to not feel guilty for completely disconnect.
One of my coworkers makes it clear that once he's off the clock, he's completely offline—no work messages, no emails. He always makes sure to get his tasks done before signing off, so he could fully disconnect and actually enjoy your time off without feeling guilty. When you give your best during work hours, it’s way easier to log off and relax without stress.
