🔥 1000-day streak – special edition: How to last on Product Hunt long-term?
I have been here for so long that visiting the Product Hunt page is like an automatic reflex after waking up. Just kidding. 😀
Anyway, there are 10 hints on how to keep that streak going:
✍️ Have an incentive to visit this website every day (e.g. post to create discussion forums daily, one comment under someone's launch/post per day).
🔔 Set up reminders/notifications to not skip a day.
✉️ Use an external app that reminds you of streaks (I've been using @Streak Hunter by @denisss for several months – it sends me emails to my inbox).
👩💻 For sure, double-check your streak via app + web app.
📱 Place a widget on your screen so it shows the day count that should update daily.
💻 Set producthunt.com as the first page when opening the browser.
🛜 Try to avoid travelling to places where there is no wi-fi or even signal (I used to travel to such places within my country a few years back, deep into the forest) – but that was a different episode of my life 😀
👀 Visit the website multiple times per day (e.g. 3 times).
⚠️ A very risky/critical situation — if you trust someone enough to give them access here to double for you, then fine, but that should be a last resort (e.g. when you end up in the hospital or so – but hopefully not 🤞).
🤝 Partner with a friend for streak accountability; you both check in daily.

@denisss @lina_huchok I think that the leaderboard is partially a commitment for me, but I want to be there because of the latest advancements in technology. I feel like being the first who know about the new tech stuff when I am here.

@borja_diazroig Keep it up! I’ve noticed you showing up here more often, and it looks like you’re building a strong presence :) The main benefit is getting early alerts on tech advancements. Plus, the higher you climb on the streak leaderboard, the more likely people are to want to collaborate with you.

Every time I see you on PH, I wonder how on earth do you manage your time!
What I love here is how it’s less about “keeping a counter alive” and more about showing up consistently, building connections, and spotting new tech before anyone else.
Do you think the streak habit keeps you going, or is it the community that makes you stay?
@sanskarix Thank you, Sanskar. Lately, I think that I am a little bit off my schedule, and it is not a very convenient feeling. 🙈 Anyway, I found many great people + that leaderboard (streaks) keep me there. I think that both are crucial to me :)
Thanks for the great tips, I'm still new here too, but I've already made the product hunt page my browser's home page. Although it's more important for me to be active and take part in discussions that interest me :)
