Dyad
After nearly nine years at Google, I left three months ago to build Dyad — a free, open-source vibe coding tool that runs locally and gives you the control that Lovable, v0, and Bolt don't. It’s been an amazing journey building in public, and I’m excited to finally launch it on Product Hunt!
Here's a few things that make Dyad special:
💻 Runs on your computer (Mac/Windows)
♾️ Free forever – no limits, no required subscription
🦋 No vendor lock-in – works frictionlessly with other AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code

We're shipping updates every week based on feedback by our amazing community of thousands of builders. Don't wait, be a part of the growing community:

Motiff
It is convenient by working seamlessly with AI models like Gemini & Claude, and running on both Mac and Windows. Makes using it so easy and smooth.

@pulin_yuuu thank you!
Looks super promising! Does it have integration with GitHub?
Dyad
@annabuloichyk thanks! Yes, Dyad has first-class integration with GitHub so you can push to GitHub & publish your project. Check out our step-by-step guide https://www.dyad.sh/docs/getting-started/publishing-your-app
Congrats on the launch @wwwillchen does dyad keep the memory of every conversation?
Dyad
@sathish_thiyagarajan27 there isn't a memory feature right now, but it's a good idea!
Dyad uses the current chat as context (and you can configure how many messages, e.g. a few messages or all the messages, are used from the current chat to optimize your tokens).
@wwwillchen Thank you for your response, Most of the except GPT doesn't offer that feature and it is difficult to keep track on certain things and also if you have time try launching in go-publicly.com no compulsion at all. Maybe you can visit and share your feedback.

@leonardcser thanks! a lot of work but well worth it 😊
Love that it's local and open-source. Too many tools these days rely on the cloud by default. Really appreciate the direction you're taking with Dyad.
Dyad
@yanina_marchione thank you! agree, it's definitely a different direction from almost all the other tools, but one worth taking!
This looks powerful. Any chance do you plan to ship something for non-technical builders?
Dyad
@5harath great question - so most Dyad users are not engineers or developers! If you can chat with AI, you build with Dyad!
Dyad
@mohd_mezher thank you for the kind words!
I’ve been using Dyad for nearly two months now, and it’s quickly become one of the most valuable tools in my creative and entrepreneurial toolkit. It’s refreshing to work with something that’s not only free and open-source, but also thoughtfully designed to remove friction. The experience feels natural and flexible, which has allowed me to experiment more freely and uncover a few promising directions for new business opportunities.
Special shoutout to @wwwillchen for building something genuinely useful and fostering a great community. Looking forward to seeing how Dyad continues to evolve.

@aaron_buhagiar1 thank you for the feedback and being an early supporter of Dyad!
Very cool! Will give this a spin for sure.
Great! Looks like this is going to help a lot of small businesses and non-coders out there!
