Dia is the AI browser from The Browser Company. Chat with your tabs, write in your own voice, learn and plan faster, shop, and more — all with privacy that you control.
@tonyabracadabra the day they bring spaces and the sidebar, I definitely quit Arc. I tried Dia yesterday, and i already saved many copy and paste that I don't need to do anymore between ChatGPT and my tabs. The way they integrate the chat with the tabs is brilliant!!! OpenAI should take a look at this!
How does The Browser Company plan to compete with dominant AI browsers like Chrome and Edge, given their massive market share and advanced AI features? Also, what support will be offered to Arc users now that new features are discontinued in favor of Dia?
@vouchy yeah, hate to say this 'cause I love scrappy startups and I've long loved Arc (it's still my primary browser!), but this feels like a feature alarmingly similar to a lot of the Chrome AI extensions available today... and also something that's inevitable with Gemini & Chrome.
Product Hunt is usually nothing but love, but the hate for Dia here is well earned. Another bait and switch from an otherwise promising company. Hopefully, they pivot back to Arc.
Arc super user here! Just downloaded Dia and was really impressed with onboarding. I really really really wish Dia had the sidebar organization of Arc - the bookmarks in Dia are a step backwards for me. I'd call product release this two steps forward and one step back. Keep going!
Really looking forward to Dia! The idea of chatting with your tabs and having an AI that helps you think, write, and browse smarter sounds incredibly useful. Can’t wait to see how it reimagines the browser experience — especially with a strong focus on privacy.
It’s interesting to see a browser designed specifically around minimizing distractions and boosting focus. How does DIA handle notifications or external content that typically interrupts deep work?
Already using it — easily one of the most exciting products I’ve tried recently. The intro video really sets the tone when launching the browser for the first time. Can’t wait to see more AI-native features roll out in Dia!
Interesting take on browser evolution! How does the AI integration differ from Chrome's upcoming features? 🤔 The privacy control aspect sounds promising—is this built on existing frameworks or something new?
Big congrats on the launch! 🎉 looks like a huge leap forward in how we interact with the web. Chatting with tabs and using AI to streamline everything from writing to planning is incredibly powerful. Can’t wait to try it out.
Interesting concept! How does the privacy control actually work? Would love to know more about the data handling specifics. Also, does "chat with your tabs" mean it can summarize open pages? Could be handy for research!
I've been using Dia since the very first beta, and while there are still areas that could be improved, the overall experience has been more than satisfactory for me. I sincerely hope Dia doesn't go down the same path as Arc—especially by becoming bloated with unnecessary features. Please keep Dia unique and true to its own spirit, rather than simply copying Arc's functionalities

@tonyabracadabra +1!
We're viewing vertical content on monitors with horizontal aspect ratios.
Anything other than vertical menu bars is madness.

excited to use this, but need the left sidebar tab functionality after being acclimatized to Arc for the last two years! 🤞

@teeeeeegz @vladguriev Exactly, as an Arc fan i feel this is the only missing piece keeping me from switching
@teeeeeegz @vladguriev @paulmoville They literally made us get used to left sidebar tabs in Arc, it just hurts not having it here!

Just not sure how TBC makes a mark here.

@paulgeller they definitely won't pivot back to Arc, but they might bring some of "Arc's greatest hits" to Dia.

Maybe focus on one browser at a time ??
Signed up for the waitlist. 🤞👀 Wish the team a successful launch.
