Are Vertical AI Agents still worth building?
... Agent to have long-term value, it must be able to understand, remember, and adapt to a user's evolving preferences and context ---- something LLMs still struggle with due to their limited memory and continuity. Also, not many vertical AI Agents seem to be breaking out yet. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Icon, telli, and Exa. Curious to see what other intereating vertical

Are Full-Stack AI Startups the Future? YC Is Betting Big on AI That Doesn’t Assist—It Replaces.
... first law firm? Instead of helping developers write code, why not launch a fully automated dev agency? Why sell to customer service teams when you can eliminate the need for them entirely? This new wave of startups reimagines entire verticals from the ground up with AI at the core, not as a layer on top. It s a radical shift from productivity tools to industry-level disruption. The opportunity? Massive. The risk? Equally massive. Curious to hear what you think ... ... edge? Comment from John Campbell(@deleted-8504473): That's a fascinating angle. We just launched a free Facebook Ads benchmarking tool
... aggregated and anonymized You can currently select CPC , CPM or CTR. And slice the data by industry, campaign type and country. Is your CPM spike an industry-wide trend? Is your CTR truly exceptional or just average for your vertical? These are questions you can now answer with data , not gut feelings. Comment from steve beyatte(@steveb): @andreslevinton  Cool- how does that translate into how you'd advise founders to use Facebook ads? Try a ton of ads, monitor ... ... long tail. The best ads drive disproportionately good results. These outliers can inflate a simple average, making it less representative of what most advertisers actually experience. So we decided to display median values, instead of averages. re: Facebook vs

Instagram's Edits vs. TikTok's CapCut?
... short video format originated primarily on TikTok as "TikToks." Of course, it was then picked up by Instagram ("Reels"), YouTube ("Shorts"), and later other platforms began to embrace this trend of short, vertical videos (LinkedIn, X). For these purposes, TikTok created a mobile video editing app and later a desktop version, CapCut. (2019) And guess what... Instagram is planning to launch its version (expected on the 31st of March, 2025) called Edits . Do you think that Instagram's product will ... ... Categories on Product Hunt
... might have noticed we added "categories" today. Over time, "topics" became more like keywords rather than useful for goal-directed searches within specific product verticals (which is most PH searches). Categories will help us improve search and browsing, as well as eventually a lot of other downstream features. Ex. Zoom *is* video conferencing software, not "tech, productivity, video, SDK, meetings" Categories are what your product is or what problem it solves. Topics might include general industries, specific features, technologies ... ... moment, categories are meant to supplement topics. Topics will still exist, although you can think of them more as tags than a primary taxonomy. We built out the a lot of this from scratch, so please suggest verticals
