Personal Drive - Self hosted alternative to Google Drive
... PERSONAL DRIVE - A self hosted alternative to google drive. A simple one. Initially I didn't plan to release it in the wild. Features wise you probably won't find anything that "file browser" doesn't do, except maybe fast sort. So if you are happy with that, probably no point fiddling with it. That said, have a look at the demo please. I would love your opinions! Github: https://github.com/gyaaniguy/per... Demo: https://demo.personaldrive.xyz Docker Installation: https://hub.docker.com/repositor... ... ... Recently hit v1 Features- - Share files: - Password protection - Set expiration - Set custom URL - A sharing control panel to pause and delete existing shares - Media player and slideshow: - Play and view images and videos - Preview text and PDF files - Keyboard shortcuts

Launching the journal for analytically minded people
... people who track, analyse and optimise. Here's a sneak peek at what it brings to the table. Networked Journaling People, places and things are all first class citizens in Big Journal. They're references using handy keyboard shortcuts such as @ and # . What is the most underrated growth hack for Product Hunt launch day?
... Personally, I believe (and still stand by it) that there are no shortcuts to success, only well-thought-out and applied tactics. What marketing tactics for a successful product hunt launch have worked for you or grabbed your attention immediately? Here are a few I ve noticed: Live-streaming on launch day via X and YouTube. Getting hunted by an internal PH team member e.g., Rajiv hunted quite a few. Inviting as many makers with large followings to your team ... ... possible. I am pretty sure you also have one or two that were remarkable. Feel free to share them. Comment from vivek sharma(@vivek_sharma_25): I stand by this: success comes from deliberate, repeatable tactics, not shortcuts

Why We Built Shift: The AI That Lives in Your Keyboard, Not Your Browser
... thought: what if you could just double-tap your Shift key instead? That s it. That s the app. Shift is an AI assistant that s always invisibly present, everywhere on your Mac, summoned with a quick keyboard shortcut. Select some text, double-tap Shift, ask for what you want, and watch the magic happen right there in whatever app you re using. No context switching. No new windows. No disruption to your flow state. Just AI assistance when ... ... seen our own usage of other AI platforms drop by about 80% since building Shift not because they aren t great tools, but because Shift is simply there when you need it. Beginner tips for Raycast?
... feel like I'm vastly underutilizing it though. I kind of found the sheer amount of things you can do with it overwhelming, and I've mostly found myself just not using it. I love keyboard driven apps and shortcuts (I'll forever be a diehard @Neovim fan) so it seems like something I'd love and get a lot of use out of. I just haven't found a great set of shortcuts

Is Obsidian really that much better vs Bear? Should I switch?
... getting dumber). Since then I've used Bear, and while it's generally nice to use and fast, I've got two main gripes: 1) It's too slow to take notes on desktop (I'd love keyboard shortcuts to open it from anywhere) - I often default to @Sublime because it's so fast to open (yeah, I'm still using @Quicksilver as a launcher... I'm a dinosaur) and I love the editor / know lots of keyboard shortcuts
