What’s the point of “build in public” if nobody’s watching?
... later. Also, public doesn t have to mean blasting it to Twitter. It could be small niche communities, Reddit threads like this, or a tiny newsletter. Basically, don t measure it by immediate engagement. Think of it as planting seeds for your future self. Anyone here actually started with no audience and made build in public work? What did you do? Comment from Chandrshekhar Rawan(@_chandrshekhar_rawan): Could be for accountability, even if it s just to yourself. Comment from ... ... leave your mark online once you want to market anyway so your work's never negligible Comment from zhantang(@zhantang): Building in public builds discipline and documentation before traction. Hidden lurkers become users later. Your posts are SEO seeds

Where should a startup begin? From pre-seed to finding first investors — your real-world advice?
... community I m building a startup and reaching the point where I need to better understand the early-stage funding landscape especially around pre-seed and first checks. There s a lot of theory online, but I d love to hear your real stories and practical tips: How did you raise your first funding? What helped you get those initial intros to angels or micro-VCs? Is it worth bootstrapping until MVP? Or better to start building relationships with investors ... ... experience. Comment from Joseph Kim(@joseph_maetel): Mais, I'm not a multi-exited founder, but I can share some thoughts on your questions since I'm currently running a venture-backed business. YC partners launch Standard Capital — is the “AI-native Series A accelerator” the new Seed?
... Paul Buchheit (the Gmail guy), leave YC (the accelerator behind Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox) to spin up Standard Capital. Here s what they re offering Write $5-10 million cheques for about 10 % of a company. Step in after seed money but before the usual Series A. Back teams who can build and improve AI products super fast. YC itself is putting money into the fund. They say this middle round is the spot where many founders get stuck. Why this ... ... matters to me (and maybe to you): That post-seed

Six Pre-Seed Investors Every Founder Should Work With. Who Would You Add?
... good fortune to have a ton of great investors who backed my last company, Seedscout. Most of them are generally more private online, but I wanted to highlight some of them for founders on the fundraising trail to learn about. I d work with these folks 10/10 times again if I start something else up (no plans to right now). Kenny Tucker (Tucker Seed

How did you finance your business?
... seed capital to start your business? I see mostly VC-funded companies on Product Hunt (mostly YC). But are there people who fund their businesses in other ways? My experience is mostly with bootstrapped businesses (and in most cases it seems like the founders previously invested in crypto and reinvested the proceeds into the seed

I’m Nik, I built a no-code hiring platform from $0 to $80K MRR and achieved 30% MoM. AMA!
... reasonable price. After 6 months of 24/7 work on WeLoveNoCode we achieved super cool growth: $80K MRR 30% MoM profitable from day one and keep growing super happy that WLNC was #1 on Product Hunt. I also closed a seed round recently and might have more cool news soon :) Before WeLoveNoCode, I built 15+ no-code apps myself and went via 500 Startups with another company. My main credo: more work, fewer words. Outside of work I enjoy reading books ...
