AI in your IDE (e.g. Cursor) vs AI in your terminal (Claude Code) — what’s the better flow?
... spot, with code suggestions right there where you re working. If you re building something too complex, it helps to stay in the flow. Terminal setups like Claude Code can be faster for generating commands or scripts on the fly without the noise. It s more direct. And most importantly, it depends on what you re building. I d say use whatever keeps you productive, but mixing both could work well. Comment from Richard Gu(@richard_gu): @rajiv_ayyangar ... ... Claude Code handles the "thinking" work - architectural decisions, complex implementations. Cursor handles the "typing" work - completing patterns, fixing syntax. Comment from Daniel Bernasconi(@daniel_bernasconi): @chrismessina  have you tried Claude Code? Do you think Warp is a valid alternative

Travel & AI — hasn't this been solved? AMA w/ KAYAK's Chief Product Officer
... future of travel search evolving. Looking forward to your questions and feedback! Comment from Gabe Perez(@gabe): I'm actually pretty curious why travel AI's don't feel more personal and remember previous interactions. Like if I'm flying from Japan to my family in the states, and the AI knew the different states my family lived in, and my trip budget. It could recommend me a cheaper trip by stopping in LA, waiting a day or two, then ... ... flying

I built a 3-hour audiobook streaming platform.  Part 1. Here's how i build it.
... show you what I actually built and how. I Didn t Build Spotify. I Built Something That Works. Let s clear this up now this isn t some billion-dollar-looking platform with AI voice matching and VC buzzwords flying around. Nah. This was built solo , in 3 hours , no caffeine-fueled hackathon hype, just quiet execution. haha. I didn t have a team. No growth guy, no brand designer, no idea validation loop. Just me, some code ... ... stuff invoicing, CRM, blah blah. But I m using it like a rebel: pushing it to behave like a modern streaming platform. Why? Because it s modular, open, and already has a structure I could hijack and flip

Best Payroll / PEO / EOR / HRIS for Distributed Teams?
... when they and their families need it - no bare minimum plans for us! I also look to make sure all our other benefit partners are reputable (e.g. retirement). Custom reporting and dashboards that I can manipulate on the fly - this last bit is important - with a lot of massaging, I can create custom reporting and dashboards in Rippling, but it s a slog to make edits without needing to get into the complex underbelly of the data structure. Hence ... ... Deel to @Wise which makes it realllly easy to be a working nomad. I agree with you on @Lattice - it's pretty powerful but I do think it could help managers and leadership by being a bit more proactive vs

Memories are cool, memories with friends would be even cooler
... small things wrong because it might not know some architectural detail or the coding style I want. But with memories I can now tell windsurf about those things and avoid those mistakes! I can also do it on the fly, making it easy to iteratively adapt Windsurf to my code. What would be even more useful is if I could share these memories with my team somehow. That way all the important memories I've fed Windsurf don't just ... ... such a cool feature request! I am just starting to play around with memories and definitely want to bootstrap off of @lagap 's settings (since we are part of the same team). Seems like these should be part of .vscode

Is Obsidian really that much better vs Bear? Should I switch?
... note-taking tool (in parallel with Notes) for 3 to 4 weeks I had several non-negotiables that I wanted to get a feel for in Obsidian before deciding whether to switch completely => Obsidian passed my tests with flying colours 2. moved to Obsidian as the primary note-taking tool accumulated 200 - 400 notes and then dove deep into how to organise them, what plugins to use etc. I work on many workstreams simultaneously so it was important ...
