Is August a good month to launch on Product Hunt?
... some of the strongest launches of the entire month happened on Fridays. The average upvote count for Friday winners was 1801- nearly 3x higher than the Friday average in 2023. So the big question is: Will that trend continue in 2025? And more importantly: would you change your launch strategy based on this data? Would love to hear: Are you launching this August? Would you avoid weekends even if the competition is lighter? Comment from Alesia Cherniavskaia(@alesia_cherniavskaia): Really ... ... Monday not the hottest day statistically, but it gives me room to activate support without midweek pressure. Weekends still feel like a no-go for reach, even if competition is lighter. Curious to see if the Friday trend continues

One unexpected Feature of my new product is going Viral!
... lifetime solution. Nowadays if you make wallets and don't offer RFID it's like you are denying a huge chuck of the marketshare of potential customers. I witnessed this first hand over a decade as my competitors pushed RFID technology and overtook my online presence even as the original inventor of Tyvek wallets from nearly 20 years ago. So this change of course seems strange for me but the market has spoken and the response has been incredible ... ... many shares and comments have opened up this discussion. It's also given me the opportunity to continue

Anyone else building under tremendous stress right now?
... Personally, I was laid off a year ago and currently bottoming out on savings. Every day is not guaranteed, quite literally, at this point. Yet, I keep my head down and continue building out a product relentlessly that I, quite frankly, have no idea how it will turn out. Many of us took this leap of faith and are under strenuous circumstances, especially in the current market. If you're in similar positions, just know that everything will work ... ... Exactly, the recurring theme in this journey (or in any journey) is about showing up, no matter the circumstance. Like you said, many people fold under real pressure, which is understandable - it's incredibly difficult! However, it's about continuing

Maker's Corner: Sh*t that sells: From toilet tracker to business breakthrough
... have a few more ideas for tools that have a similar arc: Either funny or moderately useful, with some CTA to the finance tool I am hoping to gain traction with. It would be cool if this tool continued to gain traction post launch. If so maybe I'll make some T-shirts or something available for purchase. Is this your first product? If not, what else have you built, or are currently working on? It's my second launch ... ... first was tab-slayer -- a chrome extension that kills your tabs at some interval (unless they are "spared"). It's both helpful and super annoying when you're using a tab and it gets slain. My main side project continues

Vibe coding process - do we jump in or plan it out?
... super curious how everyone starts to vibe code? In the beginning I would simply jump into @bolt.new or @Cursor and just do a prompt and continue refining with the AI. I quickly realized this created a lot of issues as I didn't think about the structure, tech stack, and how I wanted the features to interact with each other and how the way I was building things would impact the user experience. I now do the following: Write down ... ... this as I have a very nice method that I use using @Cloudflare Pages and @GitHub but....I should try Replit. I'm curious how the experience will compare. @jodylgonsalves are you able to import code into Replit and continue

Here s the backstory: I ve had my fair share of frustration with hitting limits on tools like ChatGPT or other AI platforms , where I run out of credits and can t continue. How I built an AI wrapper SaaS in 1 day
... project, I sought to identify the problem I wanted to solve. With the Babel project (github*com/eonist/babel), I aimed to use AI to translate localization strings for iPhone apps. I needed to localize my app soon, and the only alternative was to pay $150+ to services like Localise*com. How hard could it be?
