How do I get more downloads on a new app?
So we recently launched this app that's a digital journaling app for iPad and iPhones. The app is currently in full production state and has a good amount of features so it's definitely not a half-baked product. But I am finding it difficult to get more organic engagement. I know I can run ads but the app is fairly new and we are low on budget. What all I can do to get the word out there on a lower budget? PS. We also have an Instagram page but the followers are too low so there's no social media engagement as of now.
What are your 2022 achievements?
It's almost the halfway mark and I would love to know some achievements you made that you are proud of. I got inspired thinking about how my year started and where I am now. The start of the year couldn't be worse. January and February were one bad thing after another. I was all caught up on the bad things but I started to reflect on the good so here are my achievements: - Got an awesome job with awesome people - Held a session at a conference - Read 3 books (as someone who never read anything) - Got back to training, and am now in good shape - Started waking up earlier - Started creating content for LinkedIn - Finished 4 exams - Reconnected to old friends To some, these may seem small but to me, they are just the starting point to a great year.
What is the biggest lesson you've learned marketing for a startup?
This could be your own or working under someone else's startup Mine is probably working on SEO early on when you're first working on your startup. SEO takes time to get going, and if your website is completely new, you can't expect results straight away. Also, you don't need 'paid' tools to get going. I did my initial research with a free trial with SEMrush and then subsidized my results over time with Ubersuggest.
