If the upvotes of your Launch is visible in the beginning, your product cannot be featured
Here is what happens. We launched our product twice. This is the 2nd time of our launch. https://www.producthunt.com/post... In the first launch, we launched on the spot at 00:09 am PT without scheduling the launch. Our first-time launch's upvotes shows up in the begining. Our hypothesis is that if the upvotes of your launch is visible, your product cannot be featured. Then we reached out to the Product hunt customer support. Their advice is that " No worries, happy to share a bit of insight on this. We usually recommend launching at midnight pst as that is when most of the other launches go live, its not necessary but I find it helps as well as scheduling ahead of time and not launching on the spot, thanks! " So we followed the advice and scheduled launch in a week and asked the support to take down our launch. Today, we launched it 2nd time. However, our upvotes are still visible in the begining. It turns out lots of other launches upvotes are also visible in the begining. 7 hours after the launch, if our product could be featured, our launch would be ranked Top 5 of the product of the day. But all the launches which had visible upvotes in the beginning cannot possibly be featured. Therefore, if your product receives visible upvotes during the initial launch hours, you can give up on the launch, as it is impossible for your product to get featured.
If your upvotes becomes visible in the begining of the launch, your launch cannot be featured
We tried it twice and can confirm our observation. During the initial launching hours, if the upvotes of your product is visible, it means that your launch cannot possibly be featured. Product hunt will not tell you this. Something mysterious is make your launch impossible to be featured in the begining and you can tell it.
