When you are trying to add new functionality to your product, how do you pick between buying an existing tool and integrating it vs. building that tool from scratch?

Any one who is working or building in MLOps space? With the advent of more enterprise tools, I think its better we bring in Product led growth through either freemium or opensource route for niche products. Thoughts guys?
