What do you Prefer: Corporate or Start-Up Work Life?
Hello! I'm a mid-level software developer. I've experienced the start-up work-life in the past and I am currently on my 6-month mark working for a big corporation as a software developer. Recently, I've been wondering what path I'd like to go on. I want to plan out my career path in the best possible way While start-up work was more flexible, it was also uncertain if I'd get my next FULL paycheque (not to mention the tricky legal hurdles I've had to get over). Being relatively new to corporate development life, I feel slightly underpaid but its super stable and work load is consistent. I mostly want to grow my skills and, especially, salary; it would be amazing to get to a senior-level position. Would climbing up the corporate ladder help to speed that process? Would it be slow but more stable? I'd love to hear from people from different industries to hear experiences with both start-ups and corporations!
