Product launch: should you launch during holiday season?
Hi everyone! We tried to do a quick analysis of whether holiday season (end of December) is still a good time to launch your product by analyzing upvotes for both all and top 3 posts of each day in '22,'21,'20, and '19. Key insights: - The week before Christmas gets noticeably fewer upvotes for the top 3 than the week before, but you can still get a steady 400-500 upvotes during that period - The disparity between #1 posts and the rest is lower (i.e. top 3 get approximately the same number of upvotes during holiday season) - The week between Christmas and New Years performs about the same as the week before Christmas - Not many productivity or enterprise tools launching during holiday season (expected), many side-projects and products that are fun to explore during off-time Full article: https://databar.ai/blog/article/...
