About

After graduating in computer science, I initially pursued a career in software development. Later, I transitioned into the teaching profession, where I dedicated 15 years to educating others. Subsequently, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding a startup. In this venture, we have been focusing on the development of SaaS-based ERP software, primarily utilizing Java as our development tool. In addition to this, our team is actively engaged in projects involving a face recognition-based attendance system and a blockchain-based transaction system. I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights you might have to offer.

Software Blame and Challenges

When software goes live, the tendency is to point fingers at the software company in case of any issues. Let's examine this: Hardware limitations often result in suboptimal software performance, which is a common occurrence. However, it's essential to acknowledge that software companies are often unfairly blamed for this. The issue frequently stems from receiving insufficient hardware resources. The last-minute rush to finalize software development coincides with dwindling hardware resources, leading to system crashes. Unfortunately, these crashes often lead to the software company being unfairly labeled as the culprit. Many software solutions rely on external APIs, and if one of these APIs malfunctions, it affects the overall software functionality. In such cases, it's common to criticize the software company openly. However, it's important to remember that external factors, such as API failures, are beyond the software company's control. Software companies do make mistakes, and bugs can arise. However, when we develop under tight schedules with maximum effort, there's limited time for thorough testing. Effort is not lacking, but time constraints can lead to issues. It's crucial to recognize the complexities and challenges faced by both software companies and developers.
