I am building an app using Firebase and Deepgram's Speech-to-Text API. They have allowed me to expedite the build process but I am now worried that I am overly reliant on these cloud platforms and that I may end up with a huge bill down the line. Do you think it is a bad idea to build something entirely with cloud products in terms of cost and getting locked into certain vendors like Google?

I'm building an app using Firebase and an AI platform. I have done the calculations and set budgets to avoid huge billing costs. I am still a little nervous after seeing horror stories of people with huge bills from Google Cloud, AWS, Vercel and many other places. I like the fast building these platforms provide but also feel overly reliant on them. Do you think you can be too dependent upon cloud products?
