Our mails landed in spam in October last year and our open rate dropped to 9%. We were so shocked and disappointed as mails are one of top sources for sales. So, we started working on our deliverability rates. We did these things that helped our mails to land in updates: Removed links from the mails Pivoted to text-only newsletter Added numbers in the subject line Fewer capital letters & emojis in the subject lines Warmed up our domain by sending emails to highly active subscribers fequently. CTA that encourages subscribers to reply back to emails in exchange for a free bonus With these efforts, our mails landed in updates and our open rate grew to 52%
