One week with Forums – observations and reflecting your insights
It is ~7 days with a new format (changing Discussions Forums) The biggest changes I noticed in my behaviour and reflecting towards UX, and UI: On the Forums page, we can see besides the title also the part of the description (it is like a hook to participate in one of them) Conversations are better moderated. Less bots, more genuine feedback. Tagging users via the handle. You can contribute apart from General, Introduce yourself, and Self-promotion to the Product forum instead of choosing these 3 topics, you can start typing the name of the product. Things, I haven't figured out yet:
What’s the Real Leverage of a Long PH Streak?
The other day, I started a discussion about . And wow the responses were eye-opening! 1. Is there much benefit to having a long Product Hunt streak? - @dan_gower 2. Whydo you need a streak? - @grantogany 3. What leverage do you apply with your streak, though? ;) - @davelev 4. Dang, I could understand the streak-lost concerns. 353 days? I was proud of my 16 days. You are killing me! - @skail and moree... But one thing that stood out was : ? Here s how I see it: : The more you engage, the more people recognize you. A streak isn t just about numbers; it s about staying active in the community. & : A long streak shows dedication. People start seeing you as someone who truly supports the ecosystem, not just a casual visitor. : When you re active daily, you naturally connect with makers, founders, and other users who appreciate your engagement. : A streak itself is not power, but how you use it is. Engaging with new launches, giving feedback, and supporting creators gives you leverage to shape discussions and trends. So, ? Personally, I see it as a habit of showing up and staying connected. ? It depends on how you use it. Some use their streak to build their presence, others to support great products, and some just enjoy the challenge of keeping it going. So tell me; how do you apply your streak? Do you use it as leverage, or is it just for fun?
What can we expect from the PH in the future?
