How do you plan to get free media coverage for your product?
To get free media coverage, you need to capture the journalist's attention. This is where a well-written press release comes in handy. It should have a clear structure, facts, figures, and a simple, informative style. Pro tip: carefully analyze the media landscape and offer a journalist news about your launch that fits with a relevant news story. Here's what should be in a proper press release: 1. Write about what will grab the journalist's attention. Briefly and concisely explain what value your product or news brings to the market; 2. Use the formula for the headline: news + company name + verb that indicates action; 3. In the lead, place the key parameters of the news - what, where, when, and why it happened/will happen. Add a suitable image if desired; 4. Don't praise your company in the release. If you need to convey emotion, put it in a quote from a speaker. You can increase the value of your press release with relevant news hooks. This technique is called newsjacking. If there's a connection to the region, be sure to mention it! Do you have your own tricks? Do you use press releases and the media in your PR strategy?
