Hello Product Hunt! 👋 We are excited to launch the new version of our Sunscreen Finder: it's a free online tool that helps you find the sunscreen that matches your skin needs and budget - so that you can actually wear it and protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Dermatologists all over the world agree that wearing a sunscreen is the number 1 thing you can do for the health and beauty of your skin. It is important for any one - including people with darker skin tones! We've got inspired to build this tool after a conversation with a friend who said that he doesn't use a sunscreen because all the products he tried stung his eyes and caused skin irritation. The thing is, sunscreens are confusing - there are more than 15 different sun protection ingredients that can be used in a sunblock, and all of them are different in terms of the UV spectrum they protect from, their stability, how likely they are to irritate skin and eyes, or to leave a white cast. In addition, not all sunscreens are formulated to reliably protect from both the UVA and UVB rays - and it's not easy to tell it from the sunscreen packaging.
