Because your home doesn’t come with a user manual, Consumer Reports created Upkept, a new app designed to simplify and demystify home maintenance so you can manage your home confidently. Upkept shows you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it all.

Upkept is an app from Consumer Reports for new and first-time homeowners. It builds out custom maintenance plans with step-by-step instructions for just about everything in your home. It reminds you when work needs to be done, lets you know how long a task will take, and if you can DIY it, or should call in a pro. It also has other really intentional and helpful features. You can upload photos of parts and receipts, so the next time you go to perform that same maintenance task you'll know what you bought, and can track your maintenance costs across all the systems and appliances in your home.

Homes are the most expensive things we own--but they don't come with guides. Upkept simplifies homeownership by telling you what you need to do, when you need to do it, and how to do it. No need to search around, or create your own reminders. Everything you need for peace of mind at home is in the palm of your hand.
