In Unreal Chemist, you can simulate Chemistry Lab Experiments on your smartphones with realistic visuals and details of real world experiments without worrying about health and safety hazards.😉
Hello Product Hunt,
Subin here, I'm the founder and developer of Unreal Chemist.
While the pandemic hit and we all had to restrict ourselves at home, I have been thinking of ways to help solve the zillion number of problems raised due to the same. My first thought was a virtual cheers app😉, to bring back some of the lost laughter.
Staring at water glasses for hours, observing the bubbles popping out when poring from one glass to another, I started on with the app. While I was working on it, the thought struck me, I could develop it much further and have a virtual chemistry lab of sorts that will help so many students and chemistry fans alike to do experiments wherever they want to. Started learning chemistry from scratch, created many prototypes for beakers, liquids, metal surfaces, burners and what not. Researched on more experiments and would add on the go. Got opinion polls, on the look and feel, kept changing the user interface for better user experience.
Finally i'm here, the app still has a lot of room for improvement and i'm all ears to the suggestions to come, I want to expand the kind of experiments that are available but this is my first release. And it would be my pleasure to know your thoughts on this project i have been working almost for a year.
The app is built Using Unity3D and Blender for all the modelling activities. Most of the content is free but around 30% are premium which requires an In app purchase to access.
Some Key highlights of the App
- You can adjust the concentration and quantity of the reactants prior to the reaction.
- Regulate the temperature of the reaction.
- Modify temperatures in precipitation reactions and see the effect of
temperatures on solubility.
- Slow down / Fast forward time- Some reactions are very slow and may take days to complete😐
- Check the PH and PH change in a reaction, using Indicators-there are four Indicators
available and will be added more in future.
- Ignite flammable gases formed during reaction💥. You can do this by swiping on empty
spaces on the screen.
@subin_shyam this is an amazing app. Reminds me so much of Nilered.
Playing around with it, this is very nicely done. If only I could export videos and compete with Nilered
