Although it doesn't favorite the best tweets of the day, this library (https://github.com/rhiever/twitt...) that I've worked w/ previously will accomplish automated favoriting.
It's a pretty solid product, only issue is that it is quite easy to spot the automation.
If the automation settings were a bit more customizable like Instagress it would be a great application to grow your Twitter following.
