Hello, Product Hunt Community! 👋 My name is Jack - I've been a big fan of daily mobile puzzle games and wanted to try my hand at building something while I was on paternity leave and I landed on a game that I released on the iOS App Store over the weekend. It is called 🚂 Train: Connect the Tiles! It is inspired by Mexican Train dominoes (my wife's favorite game), but with a bit of a twist. You build "Train Lines" by moving tiles around the grid so that they match their neighbors either in shape, number, or color. The fewer moves you are able to do this in, the better! A neat thing about the game's development that I thought this community would be interested in: all of the puzzle generation takes place locally using a pseudo-random number generator, meaning you will get the same daily puzzle as everyone even if you are never connected to the Internet. This also means that there are millions of puzzles to play! There are no ads, a free daily puzzle, and access to 49 other puzzles immediately on downloading. No data is gathered beyond what is required to do some light analytics to inform future development, and all of the that data is fully anonymized. Appreciate any feedback. It was fun to build so hopefully you all are able to have fun with it as well!

@jpmcgrath looks like a very interesting game, Jack. Kudos for the launch. What do you suggest, can Kids also play this game?

@amit_arora Thanks, Amit. It wasn't specifically designed for kids, but it is low-stimulation and I did test it with a few of my nieces and nephews (ages 5-7) and they really enjoyed it. On the scale of things, it's a good way of helping kids work through visual interference problems. Zen Mode is probably the better game mode though, as it emphasizes solving the overall problem as opposed to solving it efficiently or fast.

Congrats on the launch! I spent some time playing with Train today and found the interface to be intuitive, vibrant, and cheerful. It's perfect for puzzle enthusiasts like me who love solving Sudoku and puzzles. I appreciate the move review feature, though I wish it offered more practical insights. The confetti at the end is a nice touch, but I'd love an easier way to share my accomplishments with friends just like how Wordle made its sharing viral! Keep up the great work!

Hey Jack, congrats on the release! This is definitely the kind of game I like to play on mobile. A special kudos to the tutorial and color-blind designs, I think both are good examples of things done with passion to something you really care!
