Mental Health & Wellness App for Families — The compass for growing up. togetherAI helps protect kids online and support families to better connect and communicate about mental health and well-being. Each child has an AI companion which helps them navigate the growing up process. The app also monitors their social media and flags any potential threats to their parents along with tips and guidance from educators, counselors and child psychology professionals on how to approach the situation. Navigating the “growing up” journey is incredibly complex for children and their parents. — Youth mental health is deteriorating as children are “on device” at increasingly younger ages with an alarming correlation in increased rates of anxiety, depression, cyber-predatory and cyber-bullying — Parents and guardians are critical to children developing positive mental health and growing up safe, healthy and happy, but 70% believe they are poorly equipped to guide their children through the “growing up” journey because they struggle to communicate with them - Digital communication is increasingly preferred by children, compounding their inhibited risk awareness and desire to ask for help when they find themselves struggling or in trouble — This results in parents/guardians and children either communicating poorly, or not at all, when it is most important Why existing solutions don’t meet market needs Parent monitoring platforms have attempted to solve external threats and identify mental health issues by essentially building spyware to “monitor“ and “manage” children’s devices. We believe these "solutions" are seriously flawed: - Limited access to data: The digital world is changing constantly and rapidly. Access to third party platforms is not guaranteed and data is inconsistent and patchy. Monitoring solutions simply cannot see or block everything a child is doing online. — Destructive to trust and communication: Children don’t like the idea of being spied on. Existing solutions destroy trust and drive children to platforms where they cannot be spied on. Even worse, they reduce the likelihood of a child asking for help in the future because trust has been destroyed. — Wrong goal: 71% of parents do not feel equipped to communicate effectively with their children. Even in the event a current solution is able to identify a scenario warranting intervention, monitoring solutions rely entirely on parents. togetherAI — A child-centric compass for all families to navigate the growing up journey, togethe. Unlike our competitors, we place the child at the centre of the user experience. Our focus is on building trust and effective communication between parents and children, not on “monitoring” and ”management”. Children create a Guardian avatar who builds rapport through daily well-being check-ins leveraging conversational AI. The conversations are supplemented by external data sets such as social media accounts and device data. None of the child’s data is shared without their consent, allowing them to build trust and communicate openly with their Guardian. When the Guardian AI identifies signs of emotional distress, threats or changes in the child’s well-being it engages with both the child and parents to equip them with the language, skills and frameworks to communicate effectively to work through the issue in real time, leveraging psychological best practice.

This is so well thought out. Especially that the child has their privacy in mind too.
