👋 Product Hunt! My name is James and I started a community of creators called H (@h_collective). We are called H because we connect creators to each other and to brands...like this: "|-|". Did I just blow your mind? At first it was about 40 of us – all passionate creators with nothing to lose – and we worked with a few select brand clients; shooting images and video and posting about the products we loved on our Instagrams. We made a little bit of money, but mostly we enjoyed traveling together, being creative and meeting new people. Then, we started getting emails from other passionate creators across the country. They were watching what we were creating, and felt our passion. They wanted to join us... so, we decided to pump the breaks on our little agency and try our hand at software development (which is really, really hard for those of you who haven't tried yet) to build a digital home for our growing community. The result was The Hub (thehhub.com). Today, the Hub has 35,000 handpicked creators – photographers, models, videographers, stylists, and makeup artists – from around the world. And, to ensure the highest quality, we have only accepted 30% of the 100,000 strong you have applied. It's a carefully curated community; the best of the best. Creators use our product to find other passionate creators shoot with, anywhere, anytime. Brands use our product to search through our community to find the perfect creators for shoots, for posts, for events and for strategy work. In seconds, our partners can find a wedding photographers in Portland, or high fashion models in Minneapolis. They can see other people each creator has shot with (our 35,000 users have shot together over 186,000 times so far) and get unique data on exactly who follows each of our creators on Instagram (their age, their location, and their interests).
