Hi everyone! I’m Tycho, one of the cofounders of TensorPool. Since high school, when we trained our first ML models, accessing remote compute has always been a massive hurdle. As the years went by and we moved further into academia/industry, a good solution never came. Whether it was AWS EC2’s absurd amount of configuration, or Google Colab’s inability to run jobs without your computer being on, nothing left us satisfied. This seems cool. How does this differ from google colab?

@cavliamb great question! A few major differences though. 1) with collab data upload is a brutal process, with us, you can train models as if you were training locally 2) you can think of us as a serverless platform, where you can send multiple batch jobs very quickly for training/inference. This is not possible on collab. This also means you can turn your laptop off when training models w tensorpool, which you can’t do w collab😅 3) we also end up being significantly cheaper than collab bc we run on multi-cloud and have implemented spot node resummation tech This was a great question, keep em coming!
