?makers did you talk to Tailwind Labs about the use of this name? At first glance it sure seems like you're just trying to capitalize on the years of hard work they've done building up the "Tailwind UI" brand…
@inxilpro No offense but I think that your claim is a little hypocritical, me with a lot of free time on my hand wanted to dig deeper into this whole "use of tailwind" name story because youre not the only one claiming it and what I found was that even the guys at TailwindUI took their name from the Tailwind App which was released back in 2015 which is 2 years prior to the release of TailwindUI in 2017. So now it looks like TailwindUI tried to capitalize on the hard work of TailwindApp, And now someone else did the same. I dont think its fair to criticise just them for taking up this name.
@afnan_khan1 Yeah—other people have used "Tailwind" in their name before. That doesn't make naming a product "Tailwind UI Kit" that's built using code by the makers of "Tailwind UI" any less problematic.
(And having a brand-new product hunt account sign up to upvote the project and defend it just makes me want to steer even further away from it.)
Hello world (no pun intended),
This is our first post here. Can’t see how we missed this but it is what it is. We launched Tailwind UI Kit in October of 2020, right now the product is in its second iteration (version 2).
Origins
For me, Tailwind UI was a major inspiration behind this product. I loved the idea behind it and bought a license after poking around a bit. Right off the bat, I faced several issues such as not having interactions, not able to switch between layouts, lack of dedicated support, absence of support for react, angular and vue etc. To be fair, they never advertised about all the things I was having issues with, for some reasons, I just had those expectations coming in. Whatever problems I was having, I was sure there were other devs out there who might be facing similar problems and this exact thought led to the inception of Tailwind UI Kit.
Tailwind UI Kit is a one of it’s kind UI kit for tailwindcss that has:

I had a better look, but am I right to conclude that 100+ cards are basically no more than 5 cards with a lot of variations in the content added to them? Is that how you get to 600? If true, I'd find that slightly misleading. I was eg also expecting a horizontal card, but that wasn't one of the 100+. And I don't see a clear structure neither, eg card header, card title, card body, card footer. Such a setup would make it better fit (in my case) for component use.
@axtg Well I do agree that some of the components are basically rearranged with different content added to them but from my perspective its a great thing for those who are starting out or just looking to cut down the development time, I'm basically a designer who's starting in development and I have observed that their library gives alot of components for different scenarios. Its a relief for me that they offer different components for different use cases and I don't have to play around with the code when I can just pick the component from the library and just use it right away in my project. What I like about the components is that I don't even have to look for the perfect icons or the perfect content when they've already placed it in there. And judging from their updates I can see that they're improving and I'm glad that I bought the license. Well that's just my opinion and I hope someone else will share this opinion as well.✌
