Hey PH. This could be a controversial post. But hear me out - I started using Superhuman in 2018, and loved it. I paid $30/mo for over 2 years and then found myself on a career break and couldn't afford (or need) the app anymore. When I got back to work, I missed Superhuman so much and no other email app came close (truly a fantastic product!). I listed down the top features I badly wanted and just built it over a few weekends with a friend. The first version worked great. Turned out, other people also wanted it. And loved it. Enough that they started paying it. I didn't think this app deserved a PH launch as it solved a niche use case. But when I have the CEO of a top 10 website in the world signing up, I realised it wasn't as small. Here is a quick product video showing you how to use the extension in your own Gmail account . The app is free to install and there is a 2 week trial included. I'm a single person team, using AI to build both product and marketing. I am now looking to grow the user base of Simplehuman. If you have any ideas on how to scale a "alternative to" product like this, I'm open to hearing you on how you'd solve it.
