Send A Doodle

Hi Product Hunt, I’m Paolo: an entrepreneur from Rome now in San Francisco. Last Summer I went on a few great dates with a Californian girl. We hit it off surfing, white-boarding business plans, and hanging on my roof… But, I had plans to spend the rest of the summer visiting my family in Italy. While I was away, I wanted to send her a sweet message. Something special, something personal— not just a text, an email, emoji or a selfie. I thought a card would be nice but I didn’t like any I saw at the shop. So I found an illustrator, told him the story, and asked if he’d make her a card! He ended up drawing a great caricature of us from a photo and even offered to mail it to her directly. When it arrived in the mail she loved it and we’ve been obsessed with doodles ever since 😃 We realized that tangible mail is so much more memorable and unexpected. While greeting cards are easy, they're so generic. While the custom drawings may be imperfect but they're artistic and memorable.
