What do you think? …

Hi Product Hunt — I'm Hunter, the creator of Scribble. Last year I decided to build the journaling app I've always wanted and am so excited to share it with the world! Throughout the day, I'll often have thoughts that I want to remember, but have never found a good system for recording these ideas. My goal in creating Scribble was to allow people to be able jot down notes quickly, easily categorize them, and review their entries at a glance. I have plenty of more features planned such as more options for customization (i.e. colors, fonts, images, text styling), analytics, and automated prompts. I'd love to hear suggestions from you all on how I can improve. Thank you so much and feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

@hunter_lai Sounds interesting! What sets Scribble apart from other note-taking apps? How does it help with productivity? Excited to hear more about your future plans for customization and analytics. Great job, Hunter!

@jorexnovik Thanks George! What makes Scribble different from other note taking/journaling apps is that it is focused towards short entries. This can help with productivity in that it gives people a quick & easy way to record their thoughts without needing to dedicate the time write a long journal entry. Hope that answers your question!

This is perfect for introverted people! A few years ago a lot of people used their private Twitter accounts as a mini-diary. But there’s always been a security concern. I’m curious where the data is stored?
Hunter Lai
@anya1 Thanks Anna, I too used Twitter as a mini diary and definitely used that concept as inspiration for this app! Privacy and security are super important for a journaling app, and the database used to this is Apple's private CloudKit database. So all of your entries are only accessible when logged into your iCloud account and can't be seen by anyone but you. Hope that answers your question!

Congratulations on the launch! It looks great. Is there any roadmap for an Android app?
Hunter Lai
@irresistibl Thank you! I hope to get around to building this out for Android, but as of right now there is no timetable for when this will be completed.
