We could of used this at the beginning of 2020, @jfornear. 😂 How are you curating/selecting products?
Jesse Fornear
@rrhoover so far I’ve posted my own first aid kit, survival kit, and emergency disaster kit that I’ve built over time from wilderness backpacking, earthquake preparedness, wildfires, etc. https://readykit.org/jesse/first... https://readykit.org/jesse/survi... https://readykit.org/jesse/emerg... E.g., I recommend Big Agnes tents and sleeping bags in my kit because I’ve used them on wilderness backpacking trips and know they are high quality, durable, and have a lifetime warranty. I also recommend Sawyer and Aquamira for filtering and treating water, 3M respirators and Honeywell air purifiers for wildfire smoke, etc. The idea is that anyone can add recommendations while human curators and a simple algorithm surface a mix of the highest value gear from reputable brands.

@jfornear this is dope. a lot of this would be great just to take camping or for a hiking day-trip, not necessarily in an emergency.
Jesse Fornear
@doog thanks for giving it a spin! Yeah, the emergency preparedness and survival spaces have a lot of overlap with camping and wilderness backpacking.

Hey PH, excited to release my quarantine side project! ReadyKit is a community-curated emergency preparedness kit on Amazon. Build your survival kit, first aid kit, and natural disaster kit from the best products on Amazon. Avoid price gouging, supply shortages, and scams by preparing ahead of time. How it works: - Create an account to start saving items to your kit - Post new products by simply pasting Amazon URLs (product title, image, and price are pre-filled) - Add your Amazon Tracking ID to your profile and it will automatically be added to your links - Share your profile (e.g., https://readykit.org/jesse) with friends and family to help them build their own kits https://readykit.org
