Hey folks! This is one of those I-felt-compelled-to-make-this projects and I hope you find it useful. This is an open source project to gather best practices & resources for getting people's names right. There are so many people feeling like they’re dealing with this on their own, from the people whose names constantly get mangled by the products & services they use to the people trying to help them, to the developers, designers, and teams that build those very things. As a designer I've been grateful as people have shared their knowledge around how to create accessible experiences including navigation, color contrast, text legibility, and tap target details. After seeing yet another thread about frustrating (and all too common name) issues, I figured there must be some efforts going to try to improve this. I found tidbits here and there, so this is a starting point to gather every piece of potentially useful guidance I've found. If you build products and services, please take a look and share your knowledge so we can raise the bar for all of these. Solving every name-related scenario may be impossible...but making it better for more people is well within our reach.
