Olaf is also known as the founder of MetaCPAN, the search engine for the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN), an ever-growing archive of code and documentation for Perl. So, it's no surprise that he made PrettyGoodPing using Perl, its Mojolicious real-time web framework, and the Minion high-performance job queue.
