According to Green America, paper receipts consume over 3 million trees and 9 billion gallons of water each year in the US, resulting in over 4 billion pounds of CO2 and 300 million pounds of solid waste. In addition, 93% of receipts are coated in harmful chemicals, rendering them non-recyclable. Paper receipts have such a devastating impact on our environment and we wanted to provide a solution. With Plutus, you can ditch paper receipts and opt for a digital option. Wherever a digital receipt is offered, simply type your PlutusID in the email section and we will take it from there! @saul_shah Thank you and definitely! We are currently working on a marketplace within the app that will reward our users for collecting digital receipts instead of paper receipts. For every digital receipt collected, users will receive a certain amount of "seeds", which can then be redeemed for offers from some of our brand partners! These offers could be discounts for sustainable products such as reusable straws or water bottles, or even directly planting trees to further reduce your carbon footprint!
