Hey guys, Super excited that you found our little pet project! I hadn't anticipated this getting posted to product hunt, but figured I'd take the opportunity to comment on what we're doing. We're actually in the final throws of going live in the San Francisco Mission District (just waiting for the pizza box designs to come back). Our early delivery testing has been deliciously promising -- and we've been getting people their pies in 13 minutes on average. Our chef Erik Jacobs is absolutely amazing, his neapolitan pizzas are crisped to perfection in an 800°F wood fire oven. He's a former culinary school instructor, experienced pizza business owner, and most recently the Dropbox pizza chef. Ask your Dropbox friends about his pizza :) FYI, we'll be doing a promotion in the month of October for those in the SF Mission District and would absolutely love to hear from you. Evan Pi Founder

@evankuo In Product Hunt land, we call them... "experiments"

@evankuo thanks for the insight. That definitely makes a massive difference that you're not just a front-end for other random pizza stores

@_jacksmith yeah man, we're stoked ... thanks so much for posting this (did you hear about it from josh scott btw? we met him recently)

@evankuo cool — no, I can't remember how I found it to be honest. I think that I might have just been searching Google for "Uber for pizza", as I've been doing a bit of research into the space.

@evankuo Love the company name.
Erik Torenberg
This is an amazing name for a pizza delivery company. Nerds will appreciate.

@eriktorenberg -- interesting fact about the Pi boot-up screen, the animation that draws our logo doubles as an algorithm that can compute Pi to an arbitrary number of digits!

@evankuo i ain't THAT big of a nerd....jesus christ. ;)

@eriktorenberg - I guess we got a little carried away We also have an easter egg game inside that's based on the working memory section of the IQ test, except it trolls the crap out of the player. (ie: tells me I have the working memory of a prodigious field mouse). #shamelessnerdiness

Gave it a download and very first prompt was the need for Background Location services. Denied it and it gives you a "Location Disabled" screen with nothing else to do. While I appreciate "features", give me a clear reason to trust them first.
