Hi Product Hunt Community! We would like to introduce our Startup Ownvibe. Ownvibe is a marketplace app where people can buy & sell using short 15-sec videos. Think about us like TikTok but for shopping. Ownvibe solves the problem of selling without the limited visual experience that you have with photos. Basically, on most marketplaces, you are allowed to add a max of 5-10 photos with your item. With videos, you are showing your item with 900 photos in form of a 15-second short video. Also, videos can be edited in a very unique way which will make your shop & items more recognizable. We thought that it would be a much better experience and also more entertaining to buy & sell using short videos. Hope you will like it & we will be happy to hear your feedback ❤️

@moraru_alexandru If I were a millionaire I would be telling you to shut up and take my investment cash... this is a huge idea. TikTok mixed with Ebay. TikTok are trying to do similar things with their platform but they are building it upon a platform used for dance videos and other viral trends. This will need to find a way to get traction but starting as a straight up marketplace app you can browse peoples video listings or brands special/new products will entice a lot of people.

This model of selling is popping up everywhere. Tiktok itself and the Flip beauty app. This is the first time I have seen a marketplace concept though where anyone can sell though. Dope!

@dawn_veltri1 TikTok is doing exactly what Instagram is trying to do with adding e-commerce features into their social network. But the problem with this approach is that people are on TikTok or Instagram for a specific reason, they like to use it as a social network app. For shopping, people mostly use apps that were designed for e-commerce in the first place. But with other apps that are on the hype wave of live stream shopping, we are aware of them. We will try to provide an outstanding user experience & let the best win. For now, they are crushing us with raising so much money. 😄
